Schiffini, one of the truly great names of Italian kitchen design, recently celebrated its 80th birthday. In doing so, it also marked decades of collaboration with some of the greatest names in industrial design; Tito Agnoli, Ugo Nespolo, Toshiyuki Kita, Giuliano Giaroli, Vico Magistretti and Roberto and Ludovica Palomba.

A family company to this day, Schiffini was founded in Italy in 1925, manufacturing luxury yacht furnishings. By the 1950s though, it had turned its production over to the then utterly revolutionary concept of the modular kitchen. It can therefore trace its roots right back to the origin of the modern kitchen with all its aesthetic, sociological and practical implications.
